We have strong and successful links with the local secondary schools in our area.
The process of transition is ongoing throughout the academic year. School are working closely with the local authority in order to develop and build upon already existing systems for the organising and planning of transition and induction.
Furthermore, a member of the SLT form part of the transition working group to review processes for secondary transition across the cluster.
Year 6 staff ensure all necessary information regarding achievement and children’s needs are communicated with receiving schools, including the discussion of provision of children with SEND and those identified vulnerable. Early transition procedures, when appropriate, are identified and participated in which is achieved through liaising with secondary pastoral teams.
